'We Will Bury You' is still in the works, so we wanted to make something we could trade the people we meet at SD Comicon for their creative endeavors and useful items. So, Brea and I have been using whatever open source software we could get our hands on, the cheapest possible microphones (mine was a free promotional one from skype), and an abundance of power violence inspired samples, to make what amounts to a demo tape or great listen on a jambox you carry on your shoulder. At the same time lo-fi and high tech (by 2003 standards), we wrote a bunch of songs that retell the stories of some of our favorite zombie movies (and Susperia) from the narrative perspectives of characters in the films. Then, we enlisted the astonishing Bill to amp things up and co-write music on a few tracks. And, for a total information overload, can you handle it... Benjamin Marra of 'Night Business' and 'Gangsta Rap Posse' fame did the almbum art!
Here is a sample track:
Zombii 2 - Night of the Living Dead (1968)
We are only making 50, maybe less if we get tired of numbering, and they will be hand numbered and feature all of our hits like: Susperia, Night of the Living Dead (1990), Dawn of the Dead (not the remake), Night of the Comet, and the Battle of Yonkers. You can only get them from us at comic-con and probably only at our signing.
Here are the rules:
1) you have to ask about it
2) you have to trade us something. anything is fine - maybe it’s your own comic or your own album about your favorite zombie movies. maybe it’s a sharpie (those are helpful) or a cookie (we’re both lactose-intolerant, fyi). it’s up to you! (we do not trade for hugs or kisses or anything along those lines.)
Don’t forget to come to our signing at 4:30 on thursday at the IDW booth, where there will be professionally rendered illustrations by Ben Templesmith to show you we aren't total street trash. you can also ask us about it if you just see us on the floor.

That should keep you busy.
